RACHEL BROWN MS, LPC

Hello! My name is Rachel Brown. I am looking forward to meeting you, but before I do, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma Baptist University where I studied Family Psychology. I have a Master of Science degree from Northeastern State University where I studied Counseling Psychology. I have received my license and am a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Among some of the experiences I have had regarding mental health treatment include 1 year working with children diagnosed with Reactive Attachment at Shadow Mountain. In 2008, I completed an internship at Family & Children’s Services and worked at the agency for two years as a full-time employee. In addition to these experiences, I have also had intensive trainings specific to the mental health field. Within the last year, these trainings have included the following:

“Enhancing Clinical IQ: Improving Outcomes in Treating Co-Occurring Disorders”
“Exploring the Relationship Between Cultural Competency, Recovery, and Treatment” “Identifying and Treating Autism Spectrum Disorders”
“Taking Charge of ADHD”
“Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy”
“Parent Child Interaction Therapy Basic Training”

As I stated earlier, I am looking forward to meeting you! Please feel free to call and ask questions, or e-mail your questions to me at your earliest convenience. You can find my contact information under the “Contact” tab.
